CDL Class A Driver

The employer is seeking an experienced CDL Class A driver to join a moving company. This full-time position involves Over-The-Road (OTR) routes primarily between New Jersey and Colorado, with a consistent schedule of 5-12 days on the road followed by 2 days at home. Typical duties for this role include safely transporting household goods or office equipment across state lines, ensuring timely deliveries, performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate driving logs. Drivers are expected to handle various aspects of the moving process, contributing to a smooth relocation experience for clients. Compensation for this role is paid in cash, calculated at $0.70 per mile driven and $0.70 per cubic foot of cargo. Additionally, drivers receive extra pay for specific tasks such as shuttle services, long carries (moving items over extended distances), navigating stairs, handling bulky items, and other supplementary work as required during moves. The pay structure is designed to compensate for both travel distance and the volume of goods transported, alongside specific service demands. Candidates must reside in New Jersey, New York City, or Pennsylvania to be considered for this position.
