EMT Communications Dispatcher (In Training)

Assist Ambulance, a New York City EMS agency, is seeking an EMT Call Taker/Dispatcher in Training to join its communications department. This role is based at their facility on Farragut Road in Brooklyn, NY. The primary responsibilities include high-volume call-taking for both non-emergency medical transports and emergency calls, serving a wide variety of medical facilities such as skilled rehab facilities, hospitals, and urgent care centers. The successful candidate will also assist with daily operations, including coordinating crew members, buses, supplies, troubleshooting, and equipment. This involves handling community paramedicine calls and interfacility STAT transfers. Scheduling for this position is currently to be determined based on applications.
