Fiber Optic Splicing and Testing Technician

The employer is seeking specialists for the connection, testing, and diagnostics of fiber optic lines. This is a traveling position involving trips between cities once or twice a week, typically involving 2 to 3 hours of driving, with a maximum of 7 hours. Typical duties include splicing fiber optic cables, verifying connection quality, and performing line diagnostics. You will be expected to work at heights using ladders and lifts. The position offers a competitive weekly pay structure based on the volume and quality of work completed. The schedule follows a rotation of one month of work followed by one week of rest. The company provides a service vehicle, all necessary specialized equipment, fuel compensation, and hotel accommodations for traveling technicians. Candidates should be prepared for physical work outdoors in various weather conditions. While previous experience with fiber optics and splicing is preferred, the employer is willing to train new employees who demonstrate a high level of responsibility and a willingness to learn.
